Playtime in the city
“Reservoir in the City” is a pretty interesting concept, and Marina Barrage is a really beautiful place too. The barrage is the place to stop by for the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW). I went by on the 28th of June thinking that I probably would be more interested in the kites flying than the on-going activities. But I was caught off guard as there were so much going on, like dragonboating, canoeing and even jet skiing.
This event to promote awareness of water in Singapore was organised in collaboration with PUB and Singapore Polytechnic. What amazes me the most is how they managed to engage a young target audience to participate in these events and bring life to an area in the Central Business District people tend not to associated with play.
