Everyone plays a role
I thought the Singapore International Water Festival at Marina Barrage was enriching. It was shocking to learn that only 1% of the water in the world is drinkable; hence, it is viable that water should be recycled.
For a young person like me, it was gratifying to know that PUB has planned 50 years into the future to ensure there is sufficient supply in the future (2060) without much dependence on non-domestic sources.
However, this does not mean we can take this precious resource for granted. At an individual level we can do our part by decreasing the consumption of water on a daily basis to save precious water. There are many simple things we can do, and we should start having good water habits!
