A Quotable Quip from B&V’s Reuse Roundtable

Dr. Robert Glennon gave opening remarks at the Black & Veatch Reuse Roundtable at Singapore International Water Week
My hands are still aching from rapid notetaking at Black & Veatch’s media event yesterday – a Reuse Roundtable with leading industry experts attended by about 60 clients, trade association reps, business partners, journalists and B&Vers. The last in a series of six global conversations on overcoming barriers to water reuse, we wanted to spark debate with some U.S. perspectives from the author of Unquenchable: America’s Water Crisis and What to Do About It, Dr. Robert Glennon, who is a law professor at the University of Arizona.
To stimulate discussion among the dozen or so panelists, the professor made some provocative comments and then made the audience laugh: “Some of these ideas are very politically dicey, very controversial, but frankly I don’t care,” he said. “And the reason is … because I have tenure!”
