The Black & Veatch designed SembCorp NEWater Plant at Changi is one of the world’s largest dual membrane water

reclamation plants. The plant relies on state-of-the-art water treatment processes, which include micro-filtration, and reverse osmosis membranes as well as ultraviolet disinfection to produce NEWater, which is now able to provide for 30% of Singapore’s daily water needs and mitigates reliance of industry on precious drinking water supplies.
The plant is much-lauded and boasts a unique design, has a small footprint and is able to deliver 228,000 m3 of NEWater) cost effectively everyday.
I am very proud of the multi-national Black & Veatch project team, who did an amazing job of working with SembCorp to deliver the facility to a very fast-track schedule.
