Paying close attention to SIWW (and signage!) from afar
Meanwhile, back in the United States… although we can’t physically be in Singapore, many of us at Black & Veatch are staying connected to the action at SIWW through all the exciting new media channels (Twitter, Facebook, and of course, SIWWdiary.com!)
One feature that I find inspiring and fascinating in Singapore is water-related signage. Yes, really! These Singapore signs present positive, informative and visually-pleasing messages about our individual relationship, roles and responsibilities in ensuring clean water for all.
I’d like to see signs like these in my community and country. Water Wally, please consider visiting your U.S. friends someday!

Dear Gayle,
I’m delighted to read this article here.
Thanks for the links and the colourful photographs concerning our most precious resource, water.I’m sure more awareness will be created with messages of this kind.May all mankind in this globe be more kind to our environments thus helping us to maintain a clean water source throughout the year. And may all our children be able to enjoy clean and healthy h2o in their lifetime.Once again,we thank you for the efforts.

I thought a neat program that PUB had was allowing people to enter their own artistic designs for sewer covers. The designs were similar to the first picture in your post. Something like this gets the community invloved with the water in Singapore in a creative way, which is very important when trying to raise awareness.
