I just arrived in Singapore at 12:30 am today.  I must say the weather here is much nicer than KC lately – though it is the middle of the night.  I will comment on the weather tomorrow and see if I feel the same way!  Even though dark, it is good to see the beauty of the city.  It is still technically Friday night so the city is hopping!  The taxi driver asked if I would like to stop at a nightclub – took a raincheck as I thought it best to unpack and get some sleep!  I haven’t been in Singapore since last fall so I was amazed to see the construction progress on the buildings by the bay.  Shortly, the artistic rendering of the bay will be real!

Similar to enjoying the physical changes in the city, I look forward to attending SIWW and the Leading Edge Technology (LET) conferences to hear about the changes in/adaptations of technology being made around the world to address the water challenges we face.  I am not sure how I will balance these two concurrent conferences when both have excellent agendas.  I may need to clone myself – but that is a technology of the future!  I will keep you posted on what I learn.
